Cumberland Hospital in New Kent, VA is recruiting a Board-Certified Pediatric Endocrinologist to join our amazing team. The position is for PRN work, and it is anticipated that this work will be conducted remotely. It would be possible for this physician to come on site in intervals if needed.
The Physician will be assigned to provide weekly review and oversight of blood glucose management of patients with diabetes mellitus (types 1 and 2), as well as initial consults on patients admitting with diagnoses such as diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, growth hormone deficiency, and other conditions including but not limited to Turner’s Syndrome, cystic fibrosis-related diabetes, and inborn errors of metabolism. Primarily, the physician in this role will be reviewing blood glucoses and diabetes mellitus treatment plans of children ages 5 years to 18 years of age (although ages accepted for admission are 2 years through 22 years), along with the primary medical team consisting of Board-Certified pediatricians and nurse practitioners. The hospital also employs two registered dietitians who meet regularly with the patients and interface with the multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate would be interested in participating in the diabetes teaching curriculum to include patient education groups.

The schedule for this position is 7 days on/7 days off. The ideal candidate must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Neurology and possess an active Florida medical license. As a Neurohospitalist, you will have the opportunity to treat a wide spectrum of neurological disorders and provide consultative neurology services to inpatients. The role requires proficiency in acute stroke care and the ability to work collaboratively with a support team, including clinical nurse specialists, stroke coordinators, and dedicated care management professionals. Comprehensive onsite neurosurgery services are available to support patient care needs.
- Manatee Memorial Hospital: A 295-bed hospital offering emergency medicine, cardiac care, robotic-assisted surgery, weight-loss programs, orthopedic services, radiology, rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep medicine, oncology, wound care, and women’s and children's care, including a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). A well-established Cardiology practice in Bradenton/Lakewood Ranch, FL, is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join their team. The APRN will support the cardiologists with inpatient services at both Manatee Memorial Hospital and Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to cardiology patients in an inpatient setting.
- Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications under the supervision of cardiologists.
- Conduct diagnostic tests and procedures, including EKGs and stress tests.
- Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated and patient-centered care.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Florida.
- Experience in cardiology or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent clinical skills, including the ability to perform and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
