Opportunity Details

We are seeking a full-time Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon specializing in Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery to join our multispecialty medical group at South Texas Health System Clinics in Edinburg/McAllen, Texas. This role offers a highly competitive compensation package with performance incentives, allowing you to focus on advanced reconstructive procedures—including free flap surgery—while supporting our Level I Trauma Center and working alongside a collaborative surgical team.

• Call: Shared call for trauma reconstruction
• Patient Volume: High-volume reconstructive and trauma surgery practice

• Practice Setting: Hospital-employed plastic surgery position within a Level I

Trauma Center
• Support / Care Team: Multidisciplinary surgical team with practice development and marketing support
• EMR / Technology: Comprehensive electronic medical record system

 

Responsibilities
• Provide trauma and reconstructive plastic surgery care, including complex free flap procedures
• Collaborate with trauma surgeons, surgical specialists, and advanced practice providers
• Manage inpatient and outpatient surgical care and call coverage responsibilities
• Document surgical care accurately using EMR

Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Plastic Surgery
• Experience with free flap reconstruction and Level I trauma requirements
• Active or eligible Texas medical license
• Spanish language skills not required
