The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (GW MFA) are seeking a full‑time, Board Certified Glaucoma Ophthalmologist to join a respected academic ophthalmology program in the heart of Washington, DC. • Employment Type: Full-time (preferred); part-time, and per diem options available
• Schedule/Hours: 8 am-5 pm
• Call: Shared
• Patient Volume: 30-40 patients daily (excluding surgery and admin time)
• Location: Washington, DC

• Support Team: Administrative Assistant, Ophthalmic Technician
• EMR: Epic
• Academic Teaching Opportunity: Educate and mentor residents and students

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive and glaucoma procedures like Yag Laser, SLT, LPI, Gonioscopy, and cataract surgeries to a diverse patient population
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and support staff with administrative assistance and a technician
• Document care using Epic

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: Competitive compensation in the $300K-$400K range

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Ophthalmology
• Fellowship trained in Glaucoma
• Required: 5+ years of experience (following completion of training)
• Experience in academic settings preferred
• Eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia
• This position is eligible for H1-B Visa sponsorship
