Join our Capital Medical Group team! We are seeking full-time Surgical Pathologists and Surgical Pathologists with Cytopathology training to join an clinical practice group affiliated with George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC. This role offers a strong academic environment with teaching and research opportunities, allowing you to focus on Surgical Pathology/Cytopathology while working alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team of clinicians and investigators.

Responsibilities

  • Positions will focus on Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology with additonal Surgical Pathology services across general and subspecialty areas (GI/liver, breast, GYN, GU, thoracic, or other areas of expertise)
  • Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and collaborative care
  • Engage in scholarly activity, including clinical or translational research
  • Collaborate with clinicians and basic science investigators
  • Document findings and reports using institutional systems

Qualifications

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic & Clinical Pathology
  • For Cytopathology position, fellowship training and experience in Cytopathology required
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the District of Columbia
  • Interest in academic medicine, teaching, and research
